Title: Baked Breadfruit ('ulu Kalua)
Categories: Hawaii Fruit
Yield: 4 Servings

1 Ripe breadfruit
  Water
  Butter
  Salt and pepper, or sugar

Preheat oven to 350 F. Wash breadfruit. Poke it in several places with a fork. Place in a pan just big enough to hold breadfruit with about 1/2" water (so it won't burn). Bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven. Cut or pull out the core and stem. Cut fruit in half. Spread each half with butter. Sprinkle each half with salt and pepper. Or sugar instead.
